By age five, Cindora Starr was doing local TV and radio commercials with her dad. At the end of senior year, Cindora had earned more than 50 academic awards and performed in stage productions such as “Grease The Musical,” “9 to 5 The Musical,” and “Little Shop of Horrors The Musical”. She won “Best Actress” in her state’s regional theatre competition. She received “President Obama’s Award For Educational Excellence” and was recognized by the United States Achievement Academy as one of the nation’s top students. Cindora is majoring in Theatre, and made history along with fellow college undergrads in 2019 performing in the Afrocentric production “Crowns”, which was the first mainstage, all-black musical in the university’s 130 year existence! She has appeared in independent films titled “A Mother’s Love” and “Run Girl Run”. She credits her younger brother and professors for always encouraging and believing in her ability to achieve her goals. Cindora enjoys volunteering in her community and attending church with family. She is guided by her Christian faith which was instilled in her by her grandmothers at an early age. Her hobbies include fashion, rapping, singing, Spanish, and martial arts.
